This article applies to the Ingenico iCT 220, iCT 250, iWL 220, and iWL 250 terminals.
The TMS-COM Remote Failed error message can print out on a receipt if your terminal is scheduled to complete an automatic update and the update fails. You can manually force the terminal to update to resolve this issue. To do so, complete the following:
1. Press the # key.
2. Select Maintenance > Download > Start Download > SOFTWARE/PARAM. The terminal will restart and print a receipt that says PARAMETER DATA UPDATE SUCCEEDED once completed.
Note: This process may take some time. If the terminal requires more than one update, you will see it go from 0 to 100% multiple times. If the display shows over 100%, it is still working properly.
It is recommended you complete an EMV public key load and test your connection to the server to verify that the terminal is still functioning properly with the updates installed.
Note: If the terminal does not print a receipt that says PARAMETER DATA UPDATE SUCCEEDED, or the terminal screen gets stuck saying CONNECTING for several minutes before restarting, it is likely that the update was unsuccessful. If this happens, contact Zomaron support.
