How to refund a transaction

This article applies to the Ingenico iCT 220, iCT 250, iWL 220, and iWL 250 terminals.

Note: For information on the difference between a void and a refund, refer to What is the difference between a void and a refund?. For information on voiding a transaction, refer to How to void a transaction.

To refund a transaction, complete the following:

1. Press the 2 key.

2. Enter the refund amount.

3. Press the green key.

4. Pass the terminal to the customer.

The customer will complete the refund. The terminal will display an Approved message and a receipt will print once the refund is complete.
