How to process an authorization

This article applies to the Ingenico iCT 220, iCT 250, iWL 220, and iWL 250 terminals.

To process an authorization, complete the following:

1. Press the 6 key.

2. Enter the amount to authorize.

3. Pass the terminal to the card holder for them to complete the transaction.

The terminal will print a receipt to confirm the authorization. For information on how to complete the sale, refer to How to force a sale.
